Elevated Summer Camp Inspired Day at Springs Lake Ranch | Austin Wedding Photographer

There are some wedding days that just feel so easy & relaxed. So real! And this celebration at Springs Lake Ranch in Waco, was exactly that. Thoughtful, chill, and deeply rooted in connection… Karina and Abel created a day that felt like an elevated summer camp experience.

Picture warm sunlight, towering trees, and a quiet lake afternoon

(aka: perfection)

From the very beginning, their intention was clear. They wanted time with their people. So they cultivated a meaningful day, without pressure.

A Ceremony Rooted in Culture and Intention

Set beneath tall trees with soft light filtering through the branches, their ceremony felt somehow equally intimate and expansive. White folding chairs lined the grass, facing the water, creating a peaceful and grounded setting.

One of the most meaningful elements was their tea ceremony. This moment honored both of their cultural backgrounds and emphasized the importance of family and tradition. It slowed the day down in a really touching way, and invited everyone present to witness something deeply personal.

Karina wore a simple, elegant white dress with a soft, modern silhouette.

It was timeless in all the best ways. Perfect for a casual, outdoor setting. Abel complemented her in a warm rust-colored suit paired with clean white sneakers, bringing personality and ease to his look.

Their outfits moved easily from ceremony to celebration, which allowed them to stay fully present all day.

Springs Lake Ranch Was The Perfect Venue For a Reception Under the Trees

The reception design embraced the natural surroundings. Long wooden tables were set along the lake, dressed with soft linens. There was layered glassware in warm tones, and simple floral touches. Later, guests gathered under a tent glowing with string lights, where the atmosphere shifted into something cozy and celebratory.

The focus stayed on connection. Guests laughed, shared meals, and moved freely between spaces. Nothing felt rushed and everything felt considered.

A Joyful Ending Full of Light

As the sun set, the energy shifted into celebration. Karina and Abel walked through a tunnel of guests holding sparklers, surrounded by cheers and laughter. It was so. full. of. joy,

That moment captured the heart of the entire day. Thoughtfully planned, yes. But not over-structured.

Karina and Abel’s wedding at Springs Lake Ranch was a reminder that the most meaningful days are the ones that leave room to breathe. When you prioritize connection, honor your story, and trust your vision, everything else falls into place.

And sometimes, it really can feel as simple and joyful as summer camp.
