Phantom-Inspired Celebration at The Allan House | Austin Wedding Photographer

When Jordan first described her vision for their Austin wedding at The Allan House as “Phantom of the Opera with a margarita machine,” I was immediately intrigued & excited.

I was envisioning something bold and romantic. And it was every bit of that and more! Centered around old-Austin vibes and inspired by the dramatic moments of the Phantom story, these two designed a celebration that was so unique, playful and stunning.

This historic Austin venue was the perfect backdrop for the celebration.

It’s located just blocks from the Texas capitol, nestled into some of the oldest streets in Austin. With large trees canopying overhead, the whole area feels quieter and more secluded than the rest of the city. Even though it’s smack in the heart of the capitol.

These two designed their day with rich red florals everywhere, creating that dramatic effect.

Deep roses and cascading textures balanced beautifully with the soft whites & candlelight. And no Phantom-inspired wedding would be complete without an incredible chandelier.

This day was infused with equally bold and romantic styling.

Jordan’s look was timeless bridal classic, with a dramatic twist. Her off the shoulder gown featured soft draping across the neckline and a full, flowing skirt that moved beautifully throughout the day.

And we used her delicate veil to create some of the most beautiful portraits, gently framing them as they shared stolen, quiet moments together.

Those intimate moments were some of my favorites of the day, and I love to imagine those portraits framed in their home one day.

These two kicked off their day with a first look on the porch of the Allan House.

Their secret moments together before saying “I do” were so full of anticipation and joy. They were so excited their big day had finally arrived.

Their ceremony took place outdoors beneath the trees, with guests seated along a stone aisle sprinkled with rose petals.

The historic architecture and garden setting of this beautiful venue created a sense of intimacy that made the moment so personal.

Red floral arrangements framed the couple as they exchanged vows, while soft sunset light filtered through the leaves overhead. As an Austin wedding photographer, I was so happy they chose this time of day for their vows because golden hour lighting is so incredible to photograph in.

From portraits on the porch to a quiet walk beneath the trees, the newlyweds brought such natural joy & connection to their photos. I’m still dreaming of this day!!

And by the end of the night, they had a pedicab pick them up to cycle away into the streets of Austin! It was perfect!

This was a wedding at The Allan House that embraced drama, romance, and fun all at once.

Their entire day was so aesthetically cohesive and gorgeous. Their dramatic, warm, & inviting theme was perfectly executed. And it was so fulfilling to me as an artist to capture it all.

If you’re dreaming of designing a similar day for your wedding, here are some key ideas to takeaway.

Some of the standout details included:

  • A bold red and black floral design that created a romantic, moody atmosphere

  • A cascading bouquet filled with roses and dramatic textures

  • Classic black tuxedos for the wedding party

  • Warm string lights and/or chandelier that added glow to the outdoor reception space

If you’re getting married soon, definitely check out their venue as one of your options!

Both the history of the house, and the incredible versatility of the venue make it a great place to get married!
