Romantic Rainy Day at Woodbine Mansion | Austin Wedding Photographer
Adriana and Joseph’s wedding at Woodbine Mansion was SO special. It reminded me yet again why I love documenting weddings as they unfold. The love, the community, the friendships… it all makes for such a profoundly connected human experience. And this was such a good example of that!
The day began with an outdoor ceremony surrounded by family, beautiful florals, and the classic Southern architecture of the historic Round Rock mansion. Then, just as the celebration was getting started, a little drizzle turned into real rain. Instead of taking away from the day, it gave everything a little more magic. Plus, rain on your wedding day is good luck!
A Day Full of Meaningful Details
There was so much intention woven into Adriana and Joseph’s celebration. Nothing felt like it was there simply because it was expected. Every detail had a story behind it.

Adriana wore three different dresses throughout the day, how cool is that?
They got married in one of the coolest historic buildings in the Austin suburb of Round Rock just steps away from main street
The couple incorporated a wedding lazo that Adriana’s grandparents were married with as well. I love to think it brought them good luck!
Their florals were stunning with soft blush, peach, ivory, and unexpected touches of greenery.
Their families and friends brought so much energy and genuine excitement to the celebration that it was so easy to take photos alllll day (I had so many!!)
After getting ready in the beautiful suites at Woodbine Mansion, these two tied the knot on the front steps facing Main Street.
The outdoor ceremony was beautiful. White columns, brick walkways, magnolia trees, and rows of guests created a setting that was somehow elevated and laid back at the same time.
The rain blew in like a happy good luck charm right after these two said I Do.
The reception moved indoors, and suddenly the day turned cinematic in an entirely different way. The warm wood-paneled rooms, vintage furniture, patterned rugs, candlelight, and old-world details created the perfect backdrop for film photography. The rain outside only made everything feel more intimate.
That flexibility is one of the things I loved most about Woodbine Mansion.
It gave Adriana and Joseph the freedom to pivot without losing the feeling they had envisioned for their day because every square inch of space is so beautiful. It gives you a lot to work with!
I know the owners of this venue put SO much love and intention into everything they do. I highly recommend them if you’re looking to get married in the greater Austin area.
Some of my favorite photographs from this wedding are not the perfectly posed ones. They are the moments in between.
The laughter with their families. The excitement on the dance floor. The newlyweds cutting into their beautiful vintage-inspired cake. A quiet kiss beneath Adriana’s veil. Friends celebrating happily around them.
Those are the photographs that feel alive to me as an Austin wedding photographer.
Adriana and Joseph’s wedding was beautiful, but more than that, it was full of personality, history, and people who genuinely loved them.
